Enable and Disable the Task Manager option

“Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator” - If a malicious software invades your computer and prevents users from accessing the Task Manager (Taskmgr.exe), here’s a way to re-enable the option using an application created by regdevelop and using your windows registry.

Overview


The Task Manager lets users re-start and disable programs to run; you can monitor each computers performance; see all apps running including services; see the executable names of every programs; and change the priority of the processes in which apps run.

Method 1 : Using Group Policy

Go to run and and type gpedit.msc and press Enter

user configuration \administrative template \system \CTL+ALT DEL Options

right pane Remove Task Manager

double click on it and chage it Disable or enable.





Method 1 : Using Registy Editing

System Key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
Value Name: DisableTaskMgr
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = default, 1 = disable button)





display Process ID from command prompt


Process Identifier is a unique number automatically being assign to each processes for identification. The representation is given in decimal number.
Here’s how to find each programs process ID using command prompt.

Using the command Tasklist to display and find each process ID

The small utility displays a list of processes running on either remote or local machine. It includes Image Name or program name, Process ID, Session Name, Session number and memory usage.

Go to run and type cmd 

Command prompt will open now type tasklist



Using the command QPROCESS

The utility displays information about processes. It includes the Username running the program, Session Name, ID, Process ID and Image name or program name.

Using the command wmic to display each programs PID

Windows Management Instrumentation command-line (WMIC) enables systems management from the command line. It extends the built-in Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) for interfaces from several command-line usages and through batch scripts.

type wmic process get name,processid


 Overall, PID or Process Identifier helps us in identifying each program or processes through a decimal representation. These decimal equivalent is unique and can be use for monitoring and other applications.

Check Whether Your PC is Male or Female

Today I am going to discuss about an amazing trick using which you can easily find out whether your pc is male or female. To find out whether your computer is male or female just follow the steps given below.
Step 1 : First of all open Notepad.

Step 2 : Now type the code given below in notepad:

CreateObject("SAPI.SpVoice").Speak"i love you"

Step 3 : Now save the file as computer_gender.vbs. (you can save the file with any name like anything.vbs)

Add ur photo in computer properties in windows XP

1.open a notepad
2.Type the following:

[General]
Manufacturer="your name or wht u like"

[Support Information]
Line1= Your Ph No or anything
Line2= Your Address or anything
.....
3. Save as "oeminfo.ini" in the System32 folder.(Without Quote)
4. Create a bmp image file(Your Photo) and save it the System32 folder as "oemlogo.bmp"(Without Quote).

5. Now Check your My Computer Properties.

HIDE UR HARD DRIVES WITHOUT ANY REGISTERY EDIT

1.First goto start->run->type “diskpart and enter

2.Type “list volume


3.select the volume of drive u want to hide by this command “select volume3


4.Then type “remove letter f


(It removes the drive f)

If u want re-assign the drive


a. First goto start->run->type “diskpart and enter


b. Type “list volume” 


c. select the volume of drive u (before) hide by this command “select
volume3” 


d.THEN type “assign letter f” 

Make the Thumbnails in Windows Larger in Win XP

1. Go to Start, Run

2. Type in the command box: regedit


3. go on HKEY_CURRENT_USER >Software >Microsoft >Windows >CurrentVersion >Explorer


9. Right click in the right side window (somewhere on an empty space)


10. Select New, then DWORD value


11. Rename the new value ThumbnailSize


12. Double click on it


13. In the opened menu, select Decimal in the Base field


14. Set the value in the small box to 200


15. Click OK and enjoy your giant-sized thumbnails

Hide And Lock Your Drives

Open Registry (go to run command, type "regedit" and press enter)

then go to this key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft \Windows \CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

now right click in right side pane and create DWORD Value

Rename it as "NoViewOnDrive" (for locking drive)
or
Rename it as "NoDrives" (for Hiding drive)

double click on it and put some numbers to lock ur desired Drive and click ok.

DRIVE NOS.
FOR A : 1
FOR C : 4
FOR D : 8
FOR E : 16
FOR F : 32
FOR G : 64
FOR H : 128

finally restart or log-off the computer to take effect.
